Senior / Disabled Property Tax Relief
Recent legislation concerning Senate Bill 730 creating the Missouri Homestead Preservation Act was truly agreed and finally passed in April 2004 and signed by the Governor on June 28, 2004.
Currently two (2) options exist for property tax relief, "Missouri Property Tax Credit" (MO-PTC) which enables qualified seniors citizens or disabled person(s) a credit on their filed income tax or the “Homestead Preservation Credit” (HPC) which allows senior citizens or disabled person(s) a credit on the following year real estate tax bill.

Homestead Preservation Credit (HPC) 2008
"Homestead Preservation Credit (HPC)" was not extended during the 2010 legislative session. There will NOT be a 2010 HPC.
